This week in Year 6 we have been reading a non-chronological report about Mozart’s life. The children were very interested in how he had a magnificent memory and was able to transcribe a piece of music after only listening to it once! We also discussed how his sister Anna Maria was also a talented musician, but due to being a girl, her father didn’t allow her to pursue this as a career into adulthood.
The children listened to Mozart’s overture, The Marriage of Figaro and recorded how the music made them feel.
