Year 5’s Christmas Time

Oh wow! What a busy, busy month it has been for Year 5! It has been jam packed with Christmas fun and we have loved it!

Firstly, I would like to say a HUGE well done to all the children for performing  and singing beautifully at their Carol Services – at both Walkden Methodist Church for the Luncheon Club and for the Rotary Club in Walkden. A big thank you to the parents who came to cheer us on!

The children then performed these songs to the rest of the school, spreading lots of Christmas joy! Here they are in action…..

Our musical superstars also performed a few Christmas songs for their parents and the rest of the school in their violin concert. The children were very professional and had practised hard for their excellent performance.

This week we all had our Christmas dinner which was delicious, and enjoyed pulling Christmas crackers with our friends!

Year 5 you all looked wonderful in your Christmas jumpers!

Continuing the fun, we had our Christmas party day which was ace! We played the Chocolate Game, with Max proving to be particularly good at rolling a six and gobbling up all the chocolate!

Finally, to finish off our final week we had our school disco and then held our own mini disco in class, where the children (especially the boys!) could show off their moves!

You have worked very hard this first term Year 5! I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I look forward to seeing you all in 2017! 🙂
