Royal Wedding Celebrations…

On Wednesday afternoon, Year 1 and Year 2 celebrated the upcoming Royal Wedding with an arts and crafts afternoon. We first spent some time learning about the roots of our royal family and looked closely at the famous faces that we may see on our television screens this weekend!

The children then split into two equal, mixed groups and completed two, 40-minute activities with a ‘royal theme’. In the Year 1 classroom, the children made a door hanger for their bedrooms. In the Year 2 classroom, the children made a coaster.

To finish the afternoon, we had a quick quiz of the fun facts that we had learnt…
