RE at its best!

Last Thursday afternoon, Y2 were visited by a very special guest speaker. As part of our learning in RE, surrounding the faith of Islam, Imam Faruk from the mosque at Bolton Hospital, visited our class. Imam Faruk spoke to the children all about the culture, traditions and beliefs of muslims. He also brought along with him some Islamic artefacts, which he shared with the children to support their understanding, such as- a prayer mat and clothing worn in pilgrimages to Mecca. Imam Faruk told the children lots of interesting Islamic facts- and equally the children asked him some excellent questions!
