What have Nursery been up to this week?

This week we have been reading the story ‘Dinosaurs Love Underpants!’ We have been learning lots of new vocabulary, such as ‘extinct’ and ‘palaeontologist.’ We have role played digging up dinosaur fossils in the mud, and made our own dinosaur fossils out of salt dough, following  picture instructions.

We focused on pattern and colour by designing some of our own underpants. We used stampers and also rolled balls in paint to create different effects.

We have also been enjoying other activities outside in the sunshine…

I’m a little tea pot activity, with water and sugar, linked to our rhyming lessons in phonics.

Caring for the plants in our sensory garden…

Using chalk to draw around our shadows…

Playing in the sand…

Enjoying a book in our reading teepee…

Next week we are very excited about celebrating St George’s day (Monday 23rd April), where we will be doing lots of fun activities, including face painting!
