Welcome back Year 5!
Below, I have attached this Spring half term’s newsletter which gives an overview of what the children will be learning over the next few weeks as well as key dates to put in your diary.
This half term is a busy one for Year 5 so I have written key information below that you will need to be aware of. (You will also find these dates on the newsletter attached.) Please let me know if you have any questions or queries.
Thursday 1st March- ‘WORLD BOOK DAY’– the children can dress up as their favourite ‘Pirate, Prince or Princess’ book character. We ask that children donate one book to our school library that they no longer use.
Monday 5th March– Year 5 have been invited to watch Harrop Fold’s school production of ‘Legally Blonde the Musical JR.’
Friday 9th March- YEAR 5 ASSEMBLY. Please join us at 9am for our very special Mother’s Day Assembly!
Tuesday 20th March- Year 5 will visit a selection of ‘Places of Worship’ as part of our R.E topic including a chapel, a mosque and a Hindu temple. The children will take the bus to Bolton Hospital where we will be escorted by a member of the Chaplaincy team around the various rooms of worship. I will be sending out letters with more information to follow, at the end of the week.
Tuesday 20th March– Parent’s Evening
Thursday 22nd March- Year 5 will lead the Easter experience for year groups 2,3,4 in church.
