‘Welcome back…’

Year 1- I hope you have had a lovely February break?! It is great to see you all back safe and well this week.

First of all- WOW- what can I say about the fantastic, incredible, superb effort that you have all put into your February homework!!! The poems were wonderful to read and VERY creative- it is clear to me that you really stood up to your challenge!

I have also thoroughly enjoyed looking at all of your wacky photographs that you sent in of you reading in unusual places- ever single one of you had an imaginative spot- from a rowing boat in  Madrid, to dinosaur museums, out at the shops and even in the destruction of Storm Doris! Every picture was unique and wonderful to see!

A huge ‘thank you’ to all of the parents and carers that supported the reading tasks. Your hard-work and support is crucial and very much appreciated by myself and Miss Wynn.

Please find attached the class newsletter for this half-term- it outlines the learning that will be taking place, until the Easter break. There are also some very important dates for your diary highlighted on there.

All that is left for me to say is- have a wonderful pancake day! I look forward to meeting with you all at Parent’s Evening in a few weeks time.
