Samaritans Operation Christmas Child

xmas shoebox

Dear Parents/Carers,

As part of our nursery topic about Christmas, Nursery are taking part in Samaritans Operation Christmas Child, where we will be sending toys, in shoe boxes, to children who are less fortunate. We would be very grateful if you could send in a small gift to go in our shoe boxes. The children will help to decorate and wrap the shoe boxes, fill them with their donated gifts, draw pictures of themselves to put inside and, once sent, track where in the world the box is sent to.

Samaritans suggest gifts such as crayons, felt tip pens, dolls or stuffed toys (with a CE safety label), toy cars, harmonicas, yo-yos, skipping ropes, balls or small puzzles.

Please could your child bring in their donated gift on Friday 10th November, in a carrier bag with your child’s name on it.

To find out more about Samaritans Operation Christmas Child, please visit https://www.samaritans-purse.org.uk/ or please feel free to ask Mrs Fortune or Mrs Hall about this project.

Thank you for your continued cooperation.

Mrs Fortune and Mrs Hall
