Next, I thought you could make you own little monster. I thought this was a good idea…basically using leaves that you can source outside, decorate them, stick a lolly stick on and you have your very own little monsters. You can now use these to create your own stories as little puppets.

I also thought children could design their own monster and fill in the gaps in sentences that you write which are about their monster. This will need a lot of support from a grown up. I have attached a picture to give you a better understanding of what I mean. You can include maths into this too, by counting the monsters features such as eyes, legs or arms.
