This week YR6 have been investigating the effect exercise has on heart rate. The children learned how to measure their heart rate after locating their radial artery. They counted the number of beats in 15 seconds then they multiplied their result by 4 to get their heart rate for one minute. Various exercises were used during a P.E. lesson. Year 6 measured their heart rate every minute for a total of 6 minutes.
