Welcome back every one! I hope you have had a lovely holiday and a well-earned rest!
I have attached Year 5’s newsletter for this half term where you will find out everything the children will be learning over the next few weeks as well as any important dates to remember.
Year 5 is a busy but stimulating year that covers a variety of engaging topics, including: The Mediterranean, U.S.A, The Mayans and the Anglo Saxons.
This half term, we will be focusing on a study of the Mediterranean (if any of you have spent your summer holidays here, we would LOVE to have some pictures brought in for our display!) and will centre a range of creative writing tasks around this topic.
On here you will find photographs and information about the work that we will be completing in class so don’t forget to have a look at home!
I am very much looking forward to the year ahead with my wonderful class of Year 5’s.
Reminder: Year 5’s ‘Meet the Teacher’ will be held on Tuesday 12th September at 3.20pm. If you are unable to attend the meeting, feel free to ring me to arrange an alternative day or time. I will make sure any letters/important information are sent home with your child if you are unable to make Tuesday.
