What are we learning about until Easter?
Hello Y2 Parents/Carers!
WELCOME BACK from what I hope was an enjoyable, but relaxing February break.
I have attached the Y2 class newsletter to this blog for your information as to what your child will be learning about in school, until the next holidays. We have a lot of celebrations to enjoy this half-term too, including: World Book Day 2018, Mother’s Day and Easter, so I know we are going to be VERY busy bees over the next few weeks!
*On that note- please remember that this Thursday (1st March) is the first of our celebrations! To mark World Book Day 2018, we will be hosting a fancy-dress day in school with a ‘Pirates, Princesses and Prince’ theme to honour stories and our love for reading. I am very excited to see what wonderful costume ideas the children have on Thursday! This year, we are asking that instead of a money contribution, the children donate an ‘unwanted book’, which can be added to our school library for others to enjoy. However, please do not spend on buying a brand-new book, a used book in a good condition will be more than gratefully received.
If there is anything else that you wish to discuss, then please do not hesitate to contact me.
