Wow!!! We would like to start by saying how pleased we are to see how well the children have settled into Nursery and it has been lovely to hear from you all that they are enjoying coming to Nursery. We have really enjoyed getting to know all our little people and think that the children are fantastic!!!
This week we have continued to introduce lots of our rules and routines to the children. The children should now be encouraged to walk down the Nursery path independently, hang up their coat, place their book bag in their special coloured box then go straight to the carpet for register time. They are all doing so well so far 🙂
We have all practised saying Good Morning or Good Afternoon Mrs Hall/ Mrs Fortune and have been introduced to our daily songs that we will sing throughout the year. We thought that it would be a good idea to provide parents with the songs so that the children can share singing them with you at home. Below is a copy of our Days of the Week and The Weather Song. We hope that you enjoy them.
The children have also visited the school hall and have met the school cooks Diane and Adele in preparation for them staying for dinner next week. The children will have lots to choose from and the menu will be displayed daily in the Nursery window. We will always inform you if we feel that your child has not eaten enough. Please practise using a knife and fork with your child at home.
You should have all now received a letter to inform you who your child’s Key Worker is. If you have any questions at all please do not hesitate to ask.
Next week all the children will attend Nursery full time from 9.00-3.15pm. It is highly important that the children arrive and are collected on time so that they can fully take part in our daily routines. The Nursery gate will remain open for 5 minutes after the times above. If you arrive after that time you will then need to sign in at the school reception. Please could we also remind parents that the car park is for staff only and should therefore not be used when dropping off or collecting your child.
Thank you for your support
Mrs Hall and Mrs Fortune 🙂
