Learning about the lectern at Church
Yesterday Year 4 visited Naomi and Mr Edge at St. Andrews Methodist Church. As part of our RE topic ‘Holy books”, we had prepared some questions to ask them about the bible and, as Christians, the role of it in their lives. This taught us all about the lectern and what a bible means to Christians.
Some of our questions included:
How is the bible special to you?
How many bibles do you have, and why?
What is your favourite bible story?
Where do you keep your bible?
Why do you read the bible?
How old is your bible? Has it been passed through the generations?
Here are some photographs of our afternoon:
Next we will be exploring holy books in Sikhisum and Hinduism.
