Welcome back to all our children who are returning and a big welcome to all those starting here for the first time! I hope you all had a great summer. I am sure you will all settle in quickly to the new school year – there are a lot of exciting things to look forward to!
Just in case you haven’t met me before, let me introduce myself. I am Grace, the Family Support Worker at St Andrews. My role involves supporting the wellbeing of children and their families. I also look to build links with parents and the wider community.
I spend a lot of time in school working with children with specific emotional needs, either by doing 1:1 work with them or working with groups of children together.
I can also provide support to parents on a wide range of issues – anything from queries about what services are available, parenting support and advice, debt and housing advice, support during difficult times and much more.
So, if you ever want to chat about anything, do feel free to contact me. The best way to do this is through the school office, either in person or by phone. If I am not available, I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Keep an eye out for my blog posts – I will be sharing some great information about events happening in school and in our local community, as well as money saving tips and advice about how to access further support when needed.
Take care,
Grace Thomas
