I was delighted to receive a letter from Nick Gibb MP, Minister of State for Schools, yesterday, congratulating our school on the high level of results from the 2016 Phonics Screening Check done by Year 1 pupils. He notes that the high percentage of children reaching, or exceeding the pass mark put our school in the top 8% of all primary schools in the country. Well done to all staff and children, and to parents and carers for your hard work with reading and spellings at home!
