This week we have been focusing on learning some simple facts about bumble bees.
We have learnt that bees make honey and that they use the nectar from flowers to do this. We have also learnt that bees live in hives and that there is a queen bee that’s in charge. 👑
Take a look at some of our activities this week.
We then each made a section of honeycomb and used different materials to print on this. We then Meath made a bumble bee to stick on our honeycomb.
We have also created our own bumble bee for our fine motor challenge. We wound wool around a cardboard bumble bee and drew a face on it.
Please remember to bring your child’s letter back for our trip to admit hills farm.
Also, please remember that tomorrow (13th May), is our pyjama day. We will be raising money to buy new books and promote reading for pleasure. Please could you bring in your child’s favourite story and a donation for the cake sale if you can .
Thank you for your cooperation,
Miss Smith
