We are very sorry for the inconvenience caused by the lack of water in school today. We only discovered at 8.45am that there may be a problem. By 9.15am there was no water in school or in the kitchen. This meant that children would be unable to flush toilets, wash their hands, have drinking water or be provided with a lunch. After taking advice from the Local Authority, contacting United Utilities and speaking to another local school, also without water, I took the decision to send the children home.
I want to thank all parents/carers for your swift response in collecting your children and for your understanding and co-operation.
School will re-open tomorrow as normal at 8.55am.
