This Thursday it is Young Carers Awareness Day and, as a school, we are committed to highlighting the issues around young carers . As part this, Jenny, from Salford Young Carers, came in today to do a whole school assembly. The children engaged really well and gave some fabulous answers to Jenny’s questions.
Jenny also showed a short clip from the video below. In the video, Lili, who is only six years old, talks about all the jobs she does as part of her role as a young carer for her mum. If you get a chance, it is worth watching, as it shows what life is like for someone who is a young carer:
