Rememberance Day.

Today we have been learning about Rememberance Day. We learnt that we had to remember a lot of people who did a lot for us along time ago. We celebrated their lives and commitment to our country by creating our own Poppies. We did this by using vegetables to stamp the petals. We then stuck our poppy onto a lollipop stick.

We also created our own poppy wreath. All of the children in our class were involved in this creation. We all stamped our hand in green paint to represent the leaves on the wreath. Additionally, we were all quiet at 11am for two whole minutes. During this time we  ate our snack and watched a child-friendly video based on Armistice Day.
