Year 6 Maple- The Executioner’s Daughter

Year 6 having been exploring the text The Executioner’s Daughter by Jane Hardstaff. We have now read the first few chapters and have been thinking about the main events and the characters within the story. Year 6 have been writing diary entries based on the main character Moss. We have discussed her feelings towards different events, taken part in drama exercises and have now written our diary entries, remembering to use features such as apostrophes for contractions and informal language throughout. They are now displayed in our classroom along with the beautiful Tudor Roses that the children have made.
