Persuasive writing in Year 6

Hello,

This week the children have been busy writing and editing their persuasive letters. The children had to imagine that they were ‘Sophie’ -the main character in the Rooftoppers. Their task was to persuade the National Childcare Agency to overturn their decision to remove her from her ward, Charles Maxim.

The children had previously used drama to help with persuasive phrases. The letters are extremely convincing and I’m sure you will enjoy reading them next month at our next Parents’ Evening.

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Hodgkinson, Mrs Lysons and Mrs Zaidi
