- We have had a great week and have been thinking a lot about the Romans. We looked at the story Boudica. Then we looked at what evidence we still had that the romans had taken over Britain. We are also nearly finished making our Roman shields which will be making their way home soon.
- What a fantastic two days we have had! Yesterday Year 4 became Rotten Roman soldiers and learnt what it would like to be in the army. They made formations, walked 30km ( kind of!) and had a go at throwing the javelin. We improvised slightly as they used their trays as shield, rulers as javelins ...more
- Author in School!
Today E.R. Reilly,a children's author came to share some of his stories and writing techniques with the children.
The children were left wondering what would happen next in many of his mystery books and enjoyed asking him questions about his job.

- Roald Dahl Day
What a fantastic day we have had. The children made dream catchers, Willy Wonka chocolates, book marks for Matilda and a magic medicine!
Thank you for the huge effort with costumes, especially as we are only in our first full week back! Wow!

On Thursday 13th September, Year 3 and 4 will be celebrating Roald Dahl Day! The children may come dressed as any character from a Roald Dahl book of their choice, in return for a voluntary donation of £1 for Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity.
