- This week Yr 1 had a very special visitor. Miss Storey came in and needed Yr 1's help. She had a crime to solve and we became excellent detectives when looking for clues. Someone had thrown all of our toys in the bin and we had to find out who did it! We went outside ...more
I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with our delightful class of Y1 children this week.
We did a series of literacy lessons based on the story, "Kipper's Toy Box."
The children made predictions about the story, made little books of toys to read to younger children and even wrote their own magic toy box riddles!

This morning, we were visited by a lady called 'Janet' from United Utilities. She spent all morning in our classroom teaching us all about- water. Year 1 have been trying extremely hard since Christmas to practise their counting skills in steps of 2's, 5's and 10's. We have counted in numeracy time, we have counted lining up, we have counted at carpet time and we have even counted whilst doing our classroom exercises!
