New York Artwork Y5

Our topic, which centres around the USA, has come to an end. Therefore, Year 5 have finished all of their artwork which they have been working hard on for the past few weeks. We focused primarily on New York and created a range of artwork using different mixed media. The children were inspired by the Pop Artist Andy Warhol for some of their art as well as simply looking at New York sky lines and landscapes.

The children created their own Pop Art on the laptops using a special Andy Warhol generator, as well as recreating those images themselves on the iPads using paint.

We also sketched the famous photograph of the workers on Rockefella centre and ‘photo-shopped’ eachother on to their drawings!

Finally, we created New York skyline images using chalk.
