Helping others in Nursery- Samaritans Operation Christmas Child

Samaritans Operation Christmas Child

The Nursery Team would like to say a massive thank you to the Nursery Parents and Carers regarding their support with our Samaritans Operation Christmas Child Project.

In Nursery, we have been helping children who won’t get any presents this Christmas. We bought in gifts for these children and put them into shoeboxes. We decorated the shoeboxes with wrapping paper that we had made, focusing on our current Maths theme of repeated patterns.

We talked about how the children might feel when they open their box for the first time on Christmas day. Our Nursery children thought the children would be “happy” and “smiley”.

With all of our Parents and Carers kind donations, we managed to fill eight shoeboxes full of presents for eight children in other countries around the world. The shoeboxes are now going to travel on an aeroplane to other countries. A special barcode inside each shoebox will help us to track where in the world our presents have ended up. We will know their final destinations in January – We will keep you posted!
